Bakarwadi-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
Outer layer
- All purpose flour / Maida / Wheat flour – 1 cup
- Ghee [clarified butter] - 2 tbsp
- Rava – 2 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Salt - a pinch
- Water as need
- Oil for deep frying
Stuffing / Filling
- Potato - 3 [boiled]
- Green peas- 1/4 cup
- Green chilli- 1 tbsp
- Ginger - 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp [finely chopped]
Preparation
- Sieve Maida/ All purpose flour without lumps.
- In a bowl add Maida, ghee, oil, red chilli powder and salt mix well.
- Then add water slowly to make the semi soft dough.
- Cover the bowl with cotton cloth then leave it for 10 min.
- Mash potato and green peas
- In a bowl add mashed potato, green peas, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, ginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, mix well
- After 10 min, knead the dough, make small lemon size balls.
- Sprinkle flour, place the balls on chapathi stone then roll out into large thin chapatti.
- Place potato green peas mixture, evenly spread
- Then fold the chapatti tightly then cut into circles
- Heat oil in a pan, drop raw bakarwadi, deep fry till crisp nd golden brown
- Once its ready take it out from oil. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Let it cool & store it in an airtight container & serve with tea or coffee
How to make Bakarwadi -Step by step photos
Boil potato and green peas
Mash well
Add salt
Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder. gigner , green chilli, mix well

In a bowl add all purpose flour, semolina, salt, red chilli powder
Add oil, mix well
Add ghee mix well, add water, make semi soft dough
Dough is ready, cover it leave it for 10 min
Make balls, sprinkle flour, roll out into thin chapathi
Place potato stuffing, evenly spread
Fold
Now its ready
Cut into small spirals
Heat enough oil in a pan, drop raw bakarwadi
Deep fry till crisp and golden brown
Flip over fry both sides
Now its ready
Remove it from oil
Crispy bakarwadi ready, serve hot with tea
