Kuih keria | Sweet Potato Donuts/Doughnut- How to make- Step by step pictures

Ingredients
- Sweet potato – 1 cup
- Maida or wheat flour – ¼ cup
- Salt a pinch
- Sugar – 2 cup
- Water – ½ cup
Method
- Wash & Boil sweet potato. Peel off the skin. Then mash well without lumps. Leave it for cool for 3to 5 min.
- Add maida, salt & make soft dough. Then divide the dough into equal size balls. Just press in your palm then put holes in the middle. Shape like medhu vada or donut rings.
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry in medium hot oil for 2 to 3 min for each donut rings.
- Once it’s floating & turned golden brown take it off from oil.
- Heat another pan add sugar & water stir well till bubbling & add deep fried donuts mix well.
- Then cut off heat. Serve hot.

Shape like donuts
Heat oil in a pan. Then place donuts one by one.
Deep fry in medium hot oil
Deep fry till golden brown
Once donuts floating & golden brown take it out
Perfectly fried sweet potato donuts
Heat pan with water & sugar, prepare sugar coating, stir well.
Once sugar fully melted, bubbles comes out and slightly thick-Perfect stage, now add fried donuts
Add fried donuts
Flip over then only donuts fully covered with sugar syrup
Sugar syrup almost thick in consistency & fully covered with donuts
Kuih keria is ready-Cut off heat
Transfer sweet potato donuts to serving plate serve hot with tea
