Raw mango rice | Mangai sadam-How to make-Step by step photos & video

Ingredients
- Rice – 1 cup
- Raw mango [pulippu mangai] – 1 cup or ½ mango[grated]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Dry red chilli -1
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Peppercorns- 1 tbsp[optional]
- Asafetida[Hing, perungayam] - 1/4 tsp
- Sesame Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed.
Preparation Method
- Boil rice & spread over the plate to cool.
- Wash & grate raw mango.
- Heat pan, pour oil and put mustard seed & let it splutter.
- Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, pepeprcorns, green chilli, dry red chilli, turmeric powder, asafetida and curry leaves sauté.
- Add grated mango sauté for a min.
- Then add cooked rice, salt & mix well.
- Cut off heat serve hot with pickle or chips.

Take one raw mango, wash
Grate
Boil rice, spread over the plate, let it cool
Heat sesame oil, add mustard, chana dal, urad dal
Add curry leaves, ginger, green chilli & dry red chilli
Add Asafetida
Add Turmeric powder
Add grate mango
Saute for a min
Add boiled long-grained rice
Saute well
Add salt, mix well
