Onion samosa-How to make-Stepwise pictures & Video

For Filling[Stuffing]-Ingredients
- Onion – 3 [sliced]
- Carrot – 1 [finely chopped]
- Garlic – 1 [mashed]
- Green chili- ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Dry mango powder – ½ tbsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil-2 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying
- Tomato sauce or ketchup for serving
Method for filling[Stuffing]
- Heat oil in a pan add onion, salt sauté till soft. Then add garlic & carrot saute for a min.
- Add green chilli garam msala, dry mango powder, turmeric & red chilli powder mix well. Then cut off heat keep it aside.
For Samosa Dough[Samosa Shell]-Ingredients
- Maida – 1 cup
- Carom seeds [Ajwain in hindi, Omam in tamil] – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar a pinch
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Water as needed
- * Mix all ingredients then make soft dough & cover it & leave it for 10 min.
Method For Making Samosa[Final Cut]
- Divide the dough in to equal size balls (lemon size).
- Take one ball, sprinkle flour, roll into thin round shape and cut into equal halves using knife. Now what you get is semi circle.
- Make a cone shape from the semi circle, fill with onion stuffing and cover it (it should look like a triangle shape).
- Dip your finger into water and stick firmly all the edges.
- Heat oil in a pan, deep fry samosa in medium hot flame and serve hot with green chutney or tomato or chilli sauce.

Add 1 cup maida [wheat flour]
Salt to taste
Add 2 tbsp ghee / oil
Add carom seeds
Add water, mix well, knead it make soft dough
Add 1 tbsp oil, cover it, leave it for 15 min
For filling:- Add oil, turmeric, red chilli, dry mango powder, garam masala powder
Add onion, carrot, green chilli, garlic
Add salt saute for 3 min
Add coriander leaves
Add corn flour
Stuffing ready
In a bowl add maida, salt, water, mix well
Maida mixture ready
Roll out balls into thin circle
Cut into half circle
Fold
Make cone
Onion filling[Stuffing]
Stick with maida
Samosa ready
Drop it in hot oil, deep fry on low to medium heat
Now its ready, remove it from oil
