Paneer Butter Masala-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Paneer - 300 gram [cut into ½ inch cubes]
- Oil - 4 tbsp
- Butter - 3 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Onion paste - 3 tbsp [chopped and sauté with 1 tsp oil and then make paste]
- Ginger and garlic - 1 tbsp each
- Cashew nut paste - ¼ cup
- Tomato paste - 1 ½ cup [chopped and sauté with 1 tsp oil and then make puree and filter]
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tbsp
- Cumin powder - 2 tbsp
- Garam masala powder - 1 tbsp
- Kasoor methi powder - 2 tbsp
- Green cardamom powder - 1 tbsp
- Fresh heavy cream - 50 gram
- Salt to taste
- Honey - 1 tsp
- Chopped coriander leaves - ¼ cup
Preparation
- Heat oil with butter in a pan then put cumin seeds. When it starts cracking add onion paste then sauté well. When its cooked add ginger & garlic paste, turmeric powder & mix well. Leave it for 1 min.
- Add tomato paste. Add water if required. Stir well. Cover lid and leave it for 2 mins. Add cashew nut paste. Stir well.
- Add redchilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder & stir well.
- Add paneer and mix gently. Now add fresh cream.
- Add kasoori methi powder, 1 tsp honey and green cardamom powder. Mix well. Leave it for 1 min.
- Add chopped coriander leaves. Turn off flame.
- Serve with butter. Garnish with coriander leaves and fresh cream
Note
- Use Fresh curd instead of fresh heavy cream
Tip
- Onion paste and honey are optional. You can avoid these two ingredients

Boil tomato
Now its ready, drain water
Peel off the skin
Put it in a mixie jar, finely grind
Tomato puree ready
In a mixie jar add onion, garlic, ginger, coarsely grind
Now its ready, keep it aside
In a mixie jar, add cashews
Add curd, grind to fine paste
Creamy cashew paste ready
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan
Add butter
Add bayleaf, cumin
Add ground onion, ginger, garlic & green chilli
Add tomato
Add turmeric
Add red chilli powder
Add salt, let it boil for 5 min
Cover lid, let it boil
Add sugar
Add garam masala
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add paneer, saute till light brown
Add cashew paste[You can replace it with fresh cream]
Add sauted paneer
Add kasoori methi
Add coriander leaves
Paneer butter masala ready, serve hot with roti, naan, chapathi, or rice
