Cannellini beans puli kootu | White beans tamarind dry curry-How to make-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Cannellini beans [White beans, Common bean] – 1 cup [Fresh]
- Tamarind puree – ½ cup or tamarind paste – 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Jaggery – ½ tsp [grated]
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Asafetida a pinch
- Water as needed
For roasting & grinding
- Dry red chilli – 2
- Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
- Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Heat oil in a pan then roast above ingredients & coarsely grind
For seasoning
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
Method
- Wash & boil Cannellini beans in a pan for 10 min.
In the same pan add tamarind puree, turmeric powder, salt & let it boil.
Add ground paste mix well, let it boil. Then add jaggery & let it thickens.
Add coriander leaves mix well.
For seasoning:-Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let its splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, & curry leaves.
Add seasoned ingredients. Then cut off heat. Serve hot with rice

Boil Cannellini beans till soft
Boiled Cannellini beans [After 10 min]
Soak tamarind in warm water for 5 min then squeeze & extract tamarind puree
Tamarind puree
Add tamarind puree & let it boil
Add turmeric powder
Add salt
Roasted & grinding ingredients
Add roasted ingredients in a mixie jar coarsely grind
After grinding
Add water & finely grind
Ground paste
Add ground paste
Mix well & let it boil
Add Jaggery & let it thickens
Gravy becomes thick. Perfect stage
Add coriander leaves
Heat oil in a pan add seasoning ingredients-mustard seeds, urad dal, bengal gram & curry leaves saute cut coof heat
Add seasoned ingredients mix well & cut off heat
Cannellini beans puli kootu is ready, serve hot with rice
