Ingredients

  • Onion – 2
  • Besan [gram flour, kadalai maavu] – 1 cup
  • Rice flour – ½ cup
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Asafetida a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed
  • Oil – ¼ ltr [for frying]

Preparation

  • Take a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, salt, asafetida, red chilli & turmeric powder then add water mix well (dosa batter consistency).
  • Cut onion into circles.
  • Heat pan with sunflower oil. Then dip onion in the batter and deep fry in medium hot oil till golden brown. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
