Ingredients

  • Semolina [suji, Sooji , rava, ravai] - 1 cup
  • Pomegranate - 1 cup or [1 ½ cup pomegranate juice or puree]
  • Ghee – ¼ cup
  • Sugar – ¼ cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Cardamom powder- ½ tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 5
  • Badam [Almonds] - 4

Preparation

  • Dry roast rava & keep it aside.
  • Put pomegranate seeds in a mixer jar & grind well, then filter & extract pomegranate juice out of it & keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan & roast cashew nuts & almonds, chop & keep it aside.
  • In a same pan, pour pomegranate juice, water & let it boil. Then add ¼ cup of sugar mix well.
  • Now add roasted rava slowly and gently to the pan mix well & stir for a min.
  • Sprinkle ghee, cardamom powder, cashews & almonds mix well in medium flame.
  • Then cut off heat. Cover lid & leave it for 3 min. Then serve hot or chilled.

Preparing Ghee From Cooking Butter-Method

  • Heat pan with butter then stir well continuously in low flame till bubbles disappear.
