Mini thayir vadai | Small Dahi Vada [curd vada]-How to make-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Urad dal – 1 cup
- Curd – 2 cups
- Sambar onion [shallots] - 3
- Green chilli – 1[finely chopped]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring [finely chopped]
- Rava – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Oil for deep frying[apr.¼ ltr]
- Water as needed
For garnishing
- Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
- Kara sev[omapodi] – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash and soak urad dal for 5 hours. Then drain water & grind well or coarsely grind.
- Heat pan & boil ½ ltr of water.
- Take a bowl with curd, add salt & sugar mix well & keep it aside.
- Take another bowl add ground urad dal mixture, curry leaves, coriander leaves, ginger, green chilli, salt & rava mix well.
- Shape mini balls & deep fry. Then put it in hot water & immediately squeeze & place it in curd mixture. Repeat this procedure for all fried vada.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves, red chilli powder & omapodi leave it for ½ an hour & serve.
How To Make Mini thayir vadai - Step by step Procedure with Pictures
Soaked urad dal
Chopped shallots, ginger, curry & coriander leaves
Freshly ground urad dal mixture
Add chopped ginger, shallots, corainder & curry leaves
Add salt mix well
Add 1 tbsp of rava mix well & shape mini gooseberry size balls
Then deep fry till golden brown
Once fried take out from oil & immediately put it in boiled water
Leave it for a min
Take it out
Mini vada absorbed water
Squeeze extra water
Take a bowl with curd then add sugar, salt mix well & add vada
Repeat the process for all vada
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves
Sprinkle red chilli powder
Sprinkle omapodi [plain sevai] & serve
