Ingredients

  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Warm water as needed.

Preparation Method

  • Dry roast rice flour for a min.
  • In a bowl add roasted rice flour, salt, oil & warm water mix well & make soft dough. Cover it & leave it for 5 min.
  • Heat idli cooker with water then grease idli plates with gingelly oil.
  • In an idiyappam kuzhal (idiyappam vessel easily available in the market or you can use muruku kuzhal) fill rice flour dough [one handful] then just press or squeeze over idli plates.
  • Cover & Steam it for 10 minutes. Then Serve hot with Kurma, coconut milk or chutney.
