Ingredients
- Samak rice [Little Millet, samai arisi] – 1 cup
- Milk – 3 cups
- Water – ¼ cup
- Sugar – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Saffron – few
- Raisins - 7
- Almonds - 6
- Cashew nut - 5
- Nutmeg scraps– a pinch
- Ghee -2 tbsp
Method
- Dry roast samak rice.
- Heat pan then add ghee & roast almonds, cashews & raisins. Keep it aside.
- In the same pan add milk & water. Then add roasted samak rice mix well & let it boil.
- When boiling check whether samak rice is cooked. If it’s not then cook till soft.
- Once samak rice is cooked then add sugar mix well.
- Finally add nutmeg scraps, saffron, cardamom powder, roasted nuts, & raisins.
- Serve hot or cold.
