Moong dal payasam with jaggery | Yellow Moong dal [Payatham paruppu] kheer with jaggery

Ingredients
- Moong dal - 1 cup
- Milk - 3 cup
- Saffron – few
- Jaggery – ½ cup
- Green cardamom powder - ½ tbsp
- Cashew nuts - 7
- Raisins - 8
- Almonds [sliced] - 6
- Ghee - 3 tbsp
- Water – ½ cup[optional]
Preparation
- Dry roast moong dal.
- Heat pan with ghee then roast cashew nuts, raisins and almonds keep it aside.
- In the same pan add milk, water, roasted moong dal & cook till soft [apr 15 min]. Then add jaggery mix well.
- Add ghee roasted cashew nut, raisins and almonds slices.
- Finally add cardamom powder & saffron then cut off heat.
- Serve hot or cold.
Tip
- For Instant Pasi paruppu payasam use condensed milk. For another variation use coconut milk.
