Onion pickle | Chopped red onion chutney for idli and dosa

Ingredients
- Onion – 3 [finely chopped]
- Garlic – 2 cloves [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water – 3 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add Bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft then add garlic sauté.
- Add curry leaves, salt, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté.
- Add water mix well then leave it for 2 min. Once raw smell out cut off heat & serve hot with idli or dosa.
