Simple dal fry | Toor dal fry [No Onion & No Garlic recipe]

Ingredients
- Toor dal – 1 cup
- Tomato – 1[Chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander Leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Dry red chilli – 1
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Wash and boil toor dal with turmeric powder in a cooker for 4 whistles.
- Heat oil, ghee in a pan then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chilli.
- Add tomato, salt and red chilli powder sauté till soft. Then add boiled toor dal & salt mix well, leave it for boil. Then cut off heat.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves & Serve hot with basmati rice.
Note
- You can add green chilli, onion, ginger or garlic when seasoning
