Purple cabbage cucumber pachadi By

Ingredients

  • Purple cabbage – ¼ cup [Grated]
  • Goose berry[Amla] – 1 [cut into small cubes]
  • Cucumber – 1 [cut into small cubes]
  • Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
  • Curry leaves – 1 spring [finely chopped]
  • Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp [finely chopped]
  • Ginger – 1 tsp [finely chopped or grated]
  • Fresh curd – 4 tbsp [fully whisked, like double cream consistency]
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp

Preparation

  • Heat oil in a pan add purple cabbage saute for 2 min, then let it cool. or steam it a steamer for 3 min.
  • Take a purple cabbage in a bowl then add goose berry and cucumber & mix gently.
  • Then add curry leaves, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves.
  • Sprinkle salt and lemon juice & mix well.
  • Finally add fresh curd/yogurt mix well. Serve with chapati or rice.

Note

  • You can add crushed pepper or seasoned ingredients [Heat pan with oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chilli then add at the end]
