Ingredients
- Thinai arisi [Foxtail millet] – 1 cup
- Milk – 2 ½ cups
- Water – ¼ cup
- jaggery – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Saffron – few
- Raisins - 7
- Almonds - 6
- Cashew nut - 5
- Ghee -2 tbsp
Method
- Dry roast thinai arisi.
- Heat pan then add ghee & roast almonds, cashews & raisins. Keep it aside.
- In the same pan add milk & water. Then add roasted thinai arisi mix well & let it boil.
- When boiling check whether thinai arisi is cooked. If it’s not then cook till soft.
- Once thinai arisi is cooked then add jaggery mix well.
- Finally add cardamom powder, saffron, roasted nuts, & raisins.
- Serve hot or cold.
