Ingredients

  • Thinai arisi [Foxtail millet] – 1 cup
  • Milk – 2 ½ cups
  • Water – ¼ cup
  • jaggery – ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
  • Saffron – few
  • Raisins - 7
  • Almonds - 6
  • Cashew nut - 5
  • Ghee -2 tbsp

Method

  • Dry roast thinai arisi.
  • Heat pan then add ghee & roast almonds, cashews & raisins. Keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add milk & water. Then add roasted thinai arisi mix well & let it boil.
  • When boiling check whether thinai arisi is cooked. If it’s not then cook till soft.
  • Once thinai arisi is cooked then add jaggery mix well.
  • Finally add cardamom powder, saffron, roasted nuts, & raisins.
  • Serve hot or cold.
