Siru keerai poriyal | Greens stir fry | Tropical amaranth poriyal-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Siru keerai [Tropical Amaranth] – 1 bunch [wash & pluck leaves then chop]
- Onion – 1[sliced]
- Green chilli – 1[slit]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat pan with oil then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add Bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft. Then add green chilli, 2 tbsp coconut and curry leaves.
- Add chopped siru keerai, turmeric & red chilli powder mix well, sauté for 2 min then add water boil till soft.
- Add coriander powder, salt & coconut mix well. Leave it for 1 min. then cut off heat.
Serve hot with rice.

Siru keerai-plucked and washed
Seasoning-Heat pan add oil, mustard,urad dal,bengal gram then onion, curry leaves
Add chopped siru keerai
Add turmeric&red chilli powder
Add coriander powder&salt
Finally add coconut,mix well,cut off heat,serve hot with rice.
