Mochakottai sundal | Field beans stir fry | Lima beans poriyal-Navratri Recipe

Ingredients
- Mochakottai[Field beans, Lima beans]– 1 cup [fresh]
- Onion – 1 [sliced, For Navrathri Dont Add]
- Garlic – 1 clove [mashed,For Navrathri Dont Add garlic, add ginger or asafetida or cumin seeds]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit]
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Water as needed
Method
- Boil mochakottai separately.
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds. When its spluttering add Bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion & garlic sauté till soft.
- Add green chilli, curry leaves & 1 tbsp of coconut sauté gently.
- Add boiled mochakottai, salt, turmeric, coriander & red chilli powder mix well.
- Add coconut, mix well then cut off heat. Sprinkle coriander leaves mix well & Serve hot with rice
