Ingredients
- Semiya [Vermicelli] -1 cup [Roasted or plain]
- Ghee [melted butter] – 3 tbsp
- Milk-1 ½ to 2 cups
- Sugar- ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Raisins - 7
- Almonds -5
- Cashew Nut - 4
- Pistachio - 5
- Water – ¼ cup
Preparation
- Heat ghee in a pan then roast cashew nuts, raisins, pistachio & almonds keep it aside.
- In the same pan add roasted semiya sauté for 3 sec then add milk, water, & let it boil & wait milk becomes slightly thick. Then add sugar mix well.
- Finally add cardamom powder, and then cut off heat.
- Add ghee roasted cashew nut, raisins and almonds slices. Serve hot or cold.
Tip
- For another variation of semiya payasam use condensed milk or jaggery
