Thinai idli upma | Foxtail millet idly upma-Easy diabetic breakfast recipe

Ingredients
- Thinai [foxtail millet] idli – 3
- Carrot – 1 tbsp [grated or finely chopped]
- Tomato – 1 [finely chopped]
- Onion – 1 tbsp [sliced]
- Ginger – ½ tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Mustard seeds – ½ tbsp
- Bengal gram – ½ tbsp
- Urad dal – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water- 2 tbsp
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Method
- Take a bowl add idli, sprinkle 2 tbsp of water crumble & keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let its splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal & onion saute till soft.
- Add ginger, green chilli, carrot & curry leaves sauté. Then add tomato sauté till soft.
- Add crumbled idli, salt mix well. Then sprinkle coriander leaves, cut off heat & serve hot with chutney.
