Ingredients
- Whole wheat[Godhumai] -1 cup
- Ghee [melted butter] –¾ cup
- Jaggery- 1 & 1/4 cup
- Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
- Almond-5
- Cashew Nut- 5
- Water- 2 cups
Preparation
- Wash & soak whole wheat overnight.
- Put soaked whole wheat in a grinder or mixer jar finely grind with 1 cup water.
- Then filter & extract wheat milk.
- Leave wheat milk for 4 to 5 hours for fermentation. or you can instantly make halwa.
- Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and roast almonds , cashew nuts, chop & keep it aside.
- In the same pan add wheat milk & stir continuously without lumps.
- Add jaggery, 1/4 cup ghee & stir well till it thickens in low to medium flame for 15 min.
- When mixture becomes thick & halwa consistency then add cardamom powder & remaining ghee.
- Add roasted nuts & cut off heat.
- Pour the wheat halwa into a tray, evenly spread, garnish with nuts, cut into squares, serve hot.

Take 1 cup whole wheat
Add water, wash 2 to 3 times then drain water
Add enough water, soak it for 8 hours or overnight
After 8 hours,soaked wheat ready
Add soaked whole wheat & water, finely grind
Add 1 cup water, finely grind
Finely ground wheat puree ready
Drain, filter & extract wheat milk
Wheat milk ready
Cover lid, leave it for 3 to 5 hours[For fermentation]-Optional, you can make instant halwa
After 3 hours
Heat pan, add 2 tbsp ghee
Roast cashews, almonds
Roasted cashews, almonds ready, transfer to a plate, finely chop
In the same pan, add wheat milk, stir continuously
Add ghee[1/4 cup], stir well without lumps
Add ghee, stir on low flame
Add jaggery[1 & 1/4 cup], mix well
Melt jaggery, Mix well on low flame
Stir well till the mixture starts leaving the pan
Wheat halwa ready
Add cardamom powder, mix well for a min, then cut off heat
Add roasted nuts, mix well
Transfer mixture into a tray
Evenly spread
Garnish with almonds, Cut into squares
