Ingredients
- Dried green peas [Pachai pattani]- 1 cup
- Raw mango – 3 tbsp [grated]
- Coconut – 2 tbsp [grated]
- Carrot – 2 tbsp [grated]
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Green chilli – 1 [slit or chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [chopped]
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Water as needed [for boiling green peas]
Method
- Wash & soak green peas overnight. Boil in a pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, ginger, green chilli & curry leaves.
- Add mango, carrot sauté gently for 5 sec. [Don’t overcook]
- Add boiled green peas & salt mix well. Then add coconut mix well.
- Sprinkle coriander leaves & cut off heat. Serve hot.

Boiled dry green peas
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, ginger, green chilli
Add curry leaves, grated mango, carrot saute for 5 sec
Mix well in low flame
Add coconut mix well
Add salt mix well then leave it for a min
Add chopped coriander leaves mix well & cut off heat
