Spring onion kuzhi paniyaram | Scallion kuzhi paniyaram-How to make-Stepwise pictures

Ingredients
- Paniyaram batter [Idli batter] – 1 cup
- Spring onion [Scallion, vengaya thal] – ½ cup [chopped]
- Onion – 1 [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 2 springs [finely chopped]
- Coriander leaves – 2 springs [finely chopped]
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 3 tbsp
Method
- Heat oil in a pan then add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft then add green chilli, spring onion & curry leaves sauté for a min.
- Then add salt & coriander leaves mix well & cut off heat.
- Take paniyaram batter in a bowl, add seasoned ingredients & mix well.
- Heat paniyaram tawa (Iron casting tastes better than other material) & grease with oil then pour batter & fill the entire cavity. Cover lid and cook for 2 min.
- Flip over and pour 1 tbsp of oil around the paniraram then again cook for 2 min.
- Cut off heat. Then transfer to serving plate. Serve hot with coconut chutney
How to make Spring onion[Scallion] kuzhi paniyaram - Stepwise pictures with procedure
Seasoning-Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, bengal gram & urad dal
Add onion & saute till soft
Add spring onion saute [dont overcook]
Add curry leaves, green chilli & coriander leaves
Add salt mix well & cut off heat
Add seasoned ingredients into paniyaram batter & mix well
Spring onion paniyaram batter is ready
Heat iron paniyaram tawa, grease with oil, pour batter
Fill cavity[7]
Cover lid & cook
Once cooked flip over
Cook both sides, then transfer to a serving plate
Spring onion kuzhi paniyaram is ready to serve-Serve hot with coconut chutney
