Simple dal curry | Easy dal recipe | Simple toor dal [thuvaram paruppu] recipe for beginners

Ingredients
- Toor dal – 1 cup
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – ½ tbsp
- Peppercorns - 5
- Dry red chilli - 1
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Boil toor dal with turmeric powder in cooker for 4 whistles.
- Heat pan with oil put mustard seeds, cumin seeds, peppercorns, dry red chilli and curry leaves.
- Add boiled toor dal, salt mix well. Add ghee then serve hot with rice.
