Beetroot Halwa

Do you want to serve some innovative sweet which would surprise everyone? Here is the healthy and vibrant color sweet for all occasion, the Beetroot halwa. Simple preparation & ingredient make this recipe an easier one. As usual like other sweets published in this website, no artificial color is used.
Ingredients
- Ghee - 6 tbsp
- Milk - 200 ml
- Beetroot (Grated) - 1 cup
- Corn flour - 2 tbsp
- White Rava - 2 tbsp
- Almond and cashew nuts chopped [roasted in ghee] - 3 tbsp
- Almond, cashew, pista grated - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 200 gm
Preparation
- Dry roast rava
- Heat pan with ghee then add grated beetroot and sauté well.
- Add boiled milk then stir continuously without break
- Add corn flour and rava then sauté well
- Add milk and sugar again & stir continuously till the mixture is thickened. Then add chopped cashew nut and almonds.
- Once mixture come out together turn off flame garnish with grated pistachios, cashews, almonds serve hot or cool
Note
- You can add khoya or mava. Khoya is thickened milk product which is mainly used in sweets. Khoya gives nice flavor and we can make sweets easily in minimum time (totally 15 mins)
Tip
-
Use fine holed grater & you can make instant beetroot halwa with khoya[mava] or milkmaid
