Black urad dal vada | Karuppu Ulundhu Medhu Vadai | Black gram vada

Ingredients
- Black urad dal – 1 cup
- Ginger – 1 inch cube
- Curry leaves - spring
- Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
- Green chilli – 1 [finely chopped]
- Salt to taste
Preparation
- Wash and soak black urad dal for 8 hours. Then grind with ginger.
- In a bowl put ground urad dal, then add curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chilli and salt mix well.
- Take banana leaf shape vada then deep fry till golden brown.
- Take banana leaf, grease it with oil, take a lemon size ball and flatten it to vada shape, and put hole at the centre and deep fry
- Serve hot with chutney
Note
- You can make thayir vadai also.
