Ingredients
- Thinai rice [Foxtail Millet] – 1 cup
- Yellow moong dal- ¼ cup
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
- Peppercorn – 1 tbsp
- Ginger – 1 inch [chopped, mashed]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Salt to taste
- Water – 2 ½ cups
Preparation
- Wash thinai rice and yellow moong dal.
- Put this mixture in a cooker with water, ghee then cook for 4 whistle.
- Heat pan with ghee then add cumin seeds, pepper corns, ginger and curry leaves then cut off heat. Add this to cooked thinai mixture.
- Then add salt and ghee mix well. Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Pour water
Mix well all ingredients
Cover lid, cook it for 4 whistles
Cooked thinai rice, Moong Dal mixture
