Karamani poriyal | Yard long beans stir fry | Thattaikai[Payathankai] Poriyal

Ingredients
- Karamani kai [Payathankai, Long Beans] – ¼ kilo or 1 cup
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Green chilli -1 [slit]
- Coconut – ¼ cup [grated]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation
- Wash and chop karamani kai.
- Heat pan with oil then add mustard seeds. Once it’s spluttered add Bengal gram & urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft. Then add green chilli, 2 tbsp coconut and curry leaves.
- Add chopped karamani kai, turmeric & red chilli powder mix well, sauté for 2 min then add water boil till soft.
- Add coriander powder, salt & coconut mix well. Leave it for 1 min. then cut off heat.
Serve hot with rice
