Instant beetroot halwa with condensed milk-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Beetroot - 1 cup [finely grated]
- Khoya, khova or mava – 4 tbsp [crumbled]
- Sweet condensed milk – ¼ cup
- Ghee [melted butter] – 4 tbsp
- Milk – 1 ½ cups
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – ½ tbsp
- Almonds-5
- Cashew Nut-4
- Pistachios - 4
Preparation
- Peel off the beetroot skin and grate and keep aside (make sure that your grater hole is too thin or maximum thin).
- In a wide pan take 1 tbsp of ghee and roast (light brown) almonds, pistachios, cashew nuts & chop, keep it aside.
- In the same pan add 3 tbsp of ghee & beetroot sauté for 2 minutes and this make the beetroot tender.
- Add milk and cook for 10 (or till the milk is reduced by half) minutes in low to medium flame.
- Add sugar & cook till the mixture blend together.
- Add Sweet condensed milk mix well.
- Then add cardamom powder, & chopped nuts.
- Add khoya, ghee & mix well & stirring continuously till mixture begins to leave the sides of the pan.
- When mixture becomes thick then cut off heat.
- Garnish with chopped nuts serve hot, warm or chilled.
Tip
- For another variation use saffron, milk powder, jaggery

Wash and peel off the beetroot skin
Finely grate
Ghee roast nuts then chop
Heat 4 tbsp of ghee in a pan add grated beetroot & saute for 3 min
Now its ready, perfectly cooked
Add milk let it boil
Add cardamom powder and 1 tbsp of sugar mix well
Add sweet condensed milk & stir continuously
Add khoya, khova or mawa mix well
Finally add chopped nuts mix well then add 1 tbsp ghee.
Beetroot halwa mixture becomes thick & perfectly textured & cut offf heat
Beetroot halwa is ready serve hot or chilled
