Bread gulab jamun-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Bread – 4 slices
- Milk -1 cup or ¼ ltr
For sugar syrup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 1 cup
- Green cardamom – 3
Preparation
- Cut & remove the brown edges of the bread.
- Boil milk & let it cool.
- Dip each bread slices in to the milk & squeeze out the milk.
- In a bowl add squeezed bread slices & mash well knead it and make soft dough.
- Then divide the dough into equal size balls. [balls should be soft & smooth].
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry till golden brown on medium hot oil for 2 to 3 min.
- For sugar syrup: - Heat water & sugar (1:1) in a pan stir well. Once sugar dissolved then let it boil.
- Then add green cardamom leave it for 5 min in medium flame. Once sugar syrup slightly thickens then cut off heat.
- Add fried bread balls in to the sugar syrup & leave it for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
- Garnish with grated almonds and pistachios & serve.
Tip & Note
- Squeeze bread slices fully to take out the milk maximum or completely.
- Gently make the balls. Don’t pressure it as it becomes hard.
- Don’t use mixture jar for making dough as it may be sticky.
- If the mixture is too sticky add milk powder.
- While making sugar syrup you can add saffron or rose essence.
- You can use brown bread also.
- You can use salted or sweet bread.

Cut and remove the brown edges
Boil milk and let it cool
Dip each bread slices in milk
Dip both sides & take it out
Squeeze out the milk
Squeeze bread slices fully to take out the milk completely.
Now its ready
In a bowl add squeezed bread slices mash well
Knead it and make soft dough.
Divide the dough into equal size balls
Balls should be soft and smooth.
For sugar syrup:- In a pan add sugar
Add water, cardamom pods, mix well & let it dissolve then leave it for 5 min on medium to low flame
Once sugar dissolved and becomes mild sticky then cut off heat
Heat oil in a pan add balls
Deep fry till golden brown and crisp on medium flame for 3 min
Now balls are ready [crisp and golden brown]
Take it out
Crispy outside and soft inside-Fried bread balls are ready
Add fried balls into the sugar syrup
Repeat the procedure for all balls
Leave it for 2 hours
Sprinkle grated almonds and pistachios
After 2 hours jamuns are bigger in size & fully absorbed sugar syrup.
