Masala dosa recipe-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Dosa batter *– 1 cup
- Potato [urulai kizhangu, aloo ] - 3 [boiled & mashed]
- Ginger & garlic – 1 tbsp [chopped, mashed, each]
- Chilli garlic chutney/powder – 2 tbsp [dry red chilli, garlic, curry leaves, hing, coconut]
- Green chilli – 2 [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring [chopped]
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
Dosa batter*
- Idli rice – ¾ cup
- Dosa rice[pachharisi] – ¼ cup
- Urad dal – ¼ cup
- Fenugreek seeds – ¼ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed.
Preparation Method
- For masala topping:- Heat oil in a pan add ginger, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves, & turmeric powder Sauté.
- Then add boiled & mashed potato, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder mix well. Then cut off heat add coriander leaves mix well & keep it aside.
- Heat iron dosa pan and brush oil then spread the batter quickly to round shape and make sure it not too thick.
- Then place lemon size prepared potato masala, spread evenly on dosa. Sprinkle oil, cover it & cook.
- Once dosa becomes crispy then cut off heat & serve hot with chutney.

Take 3 potato
Peel off the skin, wash
chop
Boil till soft
Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Add red chilli powder
Now its ready, cut off heat
Heat oil, add mustard seeds
Add chana dal
Add urad dal
Add curry leaves
Add ginger, garlic, green chilli
Add asafotida
Add potato
Add salt
Add coriander leaves
Heat iron dosa tawa, pour batter, spread evenly
Pour 1 tbsp oil around the dosa
Add chilli garlic powder
Add potato masala
Fold and roast for 2 min
Serve hot
