Bread pakora crisps| Simple pakoda-How to make-Step by step photos & video

Ingredients
- Bread – 1
- Gram flour [besan flour, kadalai maavu] – 3 tbsp
- Rice flour – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Coarsely ground fennel – a pinch
- Turmeric power – ¼ tsp
- Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
- Asafetida – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar a pinch
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Remove brown edges of the bread. Then cut into 1 inch rectangle shaped slices.
- Add gram flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, asafetida, coarsely ground fennel, pepper powder & water mix well without lumps. [Thick milk consistency]
- Then dip each bread slice in the gram flour batter & deep fry till crispy & golden brown.
- Serve hot with green mint chutney.

Cut the brown edges of the bread
Cut into rectangle shapes
In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, salt, fennel powder, red chilli powder, asafetida, turmeric powder& carom seeds mix well
Add water mix well and make batter
Dip bread slices in the gram flour mixture
Once batter fully covered then deep fry
Heat oil deep fry till golden brown
Flip over & fry
Now bread slices crispy and golden brown take it out
Bread pakoda is ready serve hot green chutney
Tip
- You can add 1 tsp garam masala in batter mixture
Note
- Don’t make thick batter. It should be light and mild watery consistency.
