Idli pakora | Crispy idli pakoda [Idli crisps] -Crisp outside and Soft inside

Ingredients
- Idli - 1
- Gram flour[besan, kadalai maavu] – 4 tbsp
- Rice flour – 1 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- White rava [semolina] – 1 tbsp
- Carom seeds [omam, Ajwain] – 1 tsp
- Water as needed
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Cut idli into thin slices [like oval shape].
- For batter:- In a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, rava, salt, red chilli powder, asafetida, carom seeds & water mix well without lumps. [Thick milk consistency]
- Marinate idli slices with garam masala, red chilli powder, lemon juice & salt. Then dip each idli slice in the gram flour batter & deep fry till crispy & golden brown.
- Serve hot with green mint chutney.

Tip
- You can add 1 tsp garam masala in batter mixture
Note
- Don’t make thick batter. It should be light and mild watery consistency.
