Purple cabbage pakoda | Crispy red cabbage pakora fritters

Ingredients
- Red cabbage[Purple cabbage] – 1 cup [cut into long stripes]
- Gram flour [Besan flour, kadalai maavu]- 4 tbsp
- Rice flour - 2 tbsp
- Omam[carom seeds, ajwain] – ½ tbdp
- Red chilli powder - ½ tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves – ½ spring
- Asafetida – ½ tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method
- In a bowl add Purple cabbage, Rice flour, Bengal gram flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, asafetida, & salt mix well. [don’t add water].
- Heat oil in a pan & sprinkle purple cabbage mixture & deep fry on medium flame till they turn golden brown & crisp. Or second fry.
- Drain on absorbent paper & serve hot with tea, coffee.
