Gulab jamun-How to make-Step by step photos [Instant, Easy, Simple]

Ingredients
- Khova / kova / khoya / Mawa – ½ cup
- Maida – 2 tbsp
- Milk powder – 2 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
For sugar syrup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 1 cup
- Green cardamom – 3
Preparation
- In a bowl add khova, maida, milk powder, & pinch of salt mash well then knead it and make soft dough.
- Then divide the dough into equal size balls. [Balls should be soft & smooth].
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry till golden brown on medium hot oil for 2 to 3 min.
- For sugar syrup: - Heat water & sugar (1:1) in a pan stir well. Once sugar dissolved then let it boil.
- Then add green cardamom leave it for 5 min in medium flame. Once sugar syrup slightly thickens then cut off heat.
- Add fried balls in to the sugar syrup & leave it for 30 min.
- Garnish with grated almonds and pistachios & serve.
Tip & Note
- Gently make the balls. Don’t pressure it as it becomes hard.
- Don’t use mixture jar for making dough as it may be sticky.
- If the mixture is too sticky add milk powder.
- While making sugar syrup you can add saffron or rose essence.
- You can use khoya / mava also.

Khova / Kova
Grate khova
In a bowl add maida
Add milk powder
Add pinch of salt mix well
Add grated khova, knead it & make soft dough
Gulab jamun dough is ready [It should be soft, smooth & light]
Divide the dough into equal size balls
For sugar syrup:- In a pan add sugar in a pan
Add water stir gently.
Once sugar dissolved add cardamom & let it boil and leave it for 5 min.
Heat oil and ghee in a pan
Put prepared balls in medium hot oil & deep fry.
Let it fry for 3 min
Half fried, deep fry till golden brown
Perfectly fried balls & take it out
Immediately place in to the sugar syrup
Leave it for 30 min
Khova jamun is ready
Garnish with grated almonds and serve
