Mysore pak | Gram flour barfi-How to make-step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Gram flour [Besan, kadalai maavu] – 1 cup
- Sugar – 2 cups
- Water – ½ to ¾ cup
- Ghee – 1 ¼ cup [melted]
- Coconut oil - 2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
Preparation Method-1 [Authentic karnataka style]
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan add gram flour roast till you get nice aroma.
- Then sieve it to avoid lumps.
- Grease tray with ghee, keep it aside
- Heat pan add sugar and water mix well & let it boil till one string consistency on medium flame.
- Then sprinkle gram flour stir well without lumps. Then add turmeric powder.
- Add ghee & coconut oil little by little stir continuously on low flame till the mixture doesn’t stick, bubbles forming & slippery on the pan.
- Then cut off heat & immediately transfer to the ghee greased tray.
- Leave it for 5 min then cut into desired shapes when its is warm & store in an airtight container.
Preparation Method-2 [for beginners]
- Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan add gram flour roast till you get nice aroma.
- Then sieve it to avoid lumps.
- In a bowl add sieved gram flour and melted ghee then mix well & make it watery consistency batter(Not too much watery).
- Heat pan add sugar and water mix well & let it boil till one string consistency on medium flame.
- Then pour gram flour mixture stir well.
- Add ghee little by little stir continuously on low flame till the mixture doesn’t stick & slippery on the pan.
- Then cut off heat & immediately transfer to the ghee greased tray.
- Leave it for 10 min then cut into desired shapes & store in an airtight container.

Immediately transfer the mixture into the ghee greased tray, leave it for 5 min.
Cut into desired shapes in warm stage
Perfectly textured , let it cool, keep in an airtight container use with in 10 days
