Sweet potato gulab jamun | Sakkaravalli kizhangu gulab jamun

Ingredients
- Sweet potato – 2 or 1 cup [boiled, mashed]
- Milk powder – 2 tbsp
- Milk - 1 tbsp [boiled, cooled]
- Maida– 1 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
- Sugar – 2 cup
- Water – 2 cup
- Green cardamom - 3
- Oil for deep frying
Preparation
- Wash & Boil sweet potato. Peel off the skin. Then mash well without lumps. Leave it for cool for 3to 5 min.
- In a bowl add mashed sweet potato, salt, maida, milk, milk powder & make soft dough.
- Then divide the dough into equal size balls.
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry till golden brown on medium hot oil for 2 to 3 min.
- For sugar syrup: - Heat water & sugar in a pan stir well. Once sugar dissolved then let it boil.
- Then add green cardamom leave it for 5 min in medium flame. Then cut off heat.
- Add fried sweet potato balls to the sugar syrup & leave it for 15 min.
- Garnish with almond slices & serve.
