Milk cake | Palkova | Milk burfi-How-to make-Step by step photos & Video

Cuisine Style: India | Preparation & Cooking Time: 40 min | To Serve: 4 | Type: Sweet, dessert, diwali special sweet, holi

Ingredients

  • Milk – 1 & 1/2 ltr
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp [optional]

Preparation

  • Grease tray with ghee, keep it aside
  • Heat 1 & 1/2 ltr milk in pan, boil till it reduces to 1/2
  • Add lemon juice mix well
  • Add sugar milk well, stir well till it thickens/ mixture separates from the pan.
  • Once its ready, Pour mixture into ghee greased tray, evenly & let it set for 30m in to 1 hour
  • Then cut into desired shapes then serve

Tip

  • You can add rose essence or rose water for rich flavor.
  • You can refrigerate till set
  • For instant milk cake use condensed milk & milk powder
  • You can add any nuts / vanilla essence / cardamom powder for different flavour
  • You can replace lemon juice with curd / vinegar
  • If your mixture is too runny , dont worry, add roastesd chickpea flour, semolina or rice flour for thickness
  • You can replace white sugar with honey/ jaggery, coconut sugar or dates syrup
