Milk cake | Palkova | Milk burfi-How-to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Milk – 1 & 1/2 ltr
- Sugar – 1/4 cup
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp [optional]
Preparation
- Grease tray with ghee, keep it aside
- Heat 1 & 1/2 ltr milk in pan, boil till it reduces to 1/2
- Add lemon juice mix well
- Add sugar milk well, stir well till it thickens/ mixture separates from the pan.
- Once its ready, Pour mixture into ghee greased tray, evenly & let it set for 30m in to 1 hour
- Then cut into desired shapes then serve
Tip
- You can add rose essence or rose water for rich flavor.
- You can refrigerate till set
- For instant milk cake use condensed milk & milk powder
- You can add any nuts / vanilla essence / cardamom powder for different flavour
- You can replace lemon juice with curd / vinegar
- If your mixture is too runny , dont worry, add roastesd chickpea flour, semolina or rice flour for thickness
- You can replace white sugar with honey/ jaggery, coconut sugar or dates syrup

Heat 1 and 1/2 ltr milk
Boil till it reduces to half
Stir well in the middle to avoid burning in the bottom
Stir for 5 min
Add 1 tsp lemon juice mix well
Stir well
Add sugar
Stir continously on medium flame
Stir for 5 more min
Add ghee
Mix well
Now its ready
Cut off heat
Pour into pan
Evenly spread
Evenly spread
Let it set
Remove edges
Cut into desired shapes
Garnish with pista
Store in an airtight container, refrigerate & use for 1 week
