Green peas carrot potato thoran-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Green peas – 1 cup [Fresh]
- Carrot – ½ cup [cut into cubes]
- Potato – 1 [cut into cubes]
- Coconut – ½ cup [grated]
- Dry red chilli -1
- Green chilli - 1
- Onion – 1 [chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Asafetida a pinch
- Salt to taste
- Coconut oil – 1 ½ tbsp
- Water as needed
Preparation
- Heat enough water in a pan & let it boil. Then add potato, salt, turmeric powder & let it cook [Apr 2 min].
- Then add carrot cook for another 1 min. Finally add green peas cook till soft.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add urad dal sauté gently.
- Add green chilli, dry red chilli, curry leaves & asafetida sauté.
- Add onion sauté till soft. Then add boiled vegetables sauté for a min.
- Finally add grated coconut mix well & cut off heat, serve hot with rice.
How to make Green peas carrot potato thoran- Step by step photos
Boil carrot, potato, green peas, with salt & turmeric added water till soft
Heat coconut oil in a pan, add mustard seeds & urad dal
Add curry leaves, green chilli & dry red chilli saute
Add onion, asafetida & salt saute till light brown
Add boiled vegetables saute
Add grated coconut saute for a min.
Now green peas thoran is ready, cut off heat.
Transfer to a serving bowl, serve hot with rice.
