Golap pitha | Rose Flower Pitha -How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Wheat flour[Atta, godhumai maavu]– 1 cup
- Milk - 1 cup or 1.5 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Salt a pinch
- Oil & ghee for deep frying
Sugar Syrup
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Green cardamom – 1 tsp
- Heat sugar, water let it boil for 5 to 7 min or boil till sticky consistency syrup.
- Add cardamom powder, cut off heat
Preparation
- Heat milk in a pan, add milk, let it boil
- Add wheat flour, salt, 1 tbsp sugar,1tbsp oil & q tbsp ghee, mix well, cover lid & leave it for 3 min.
- Then knead it for 5 to 7 min & make soft dough.
- Then cover it & leave it for 5 min.
- Divide the dough into equal size balls.
- Then roll out into thin / thick chapathi
- Cut into circles. Take 3 circles, press gently in the middle.
- Take 1 circle, cut into half, then fold like bud.
- Stick bud in the middle.
- Cut the circle into 3 part. Stick the petals around the flower bud.
- Repeat the process till last petal.
- One rose shape ready, keep it aside for deep frying.
- Heat oil & ghee in a pan, put raw rose flower piths one by one & deep fry on medium to low flame.
- Once fried flip over & cook another side.
- Once it’s turned light brown & crisp take it out. Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Place fried rose flower pitha in to the sugar syrup & leave it for 5 min.
- Then take it out from sugar syrup & cool it in room temperature.
- Then store it in an airtight container & use within 5 days
How to make Golap pitha-Step by step photos
Heat milk
Add 1 tbsp sugar
Boil
Add wheat flour
Mix well, then cover it for 3 min
Mix well
Add ghee
Add oil
Add salt
Knead it for 5 to 8 min
Soft dough ready
Take orange size ball
Sprinkle flour, roll out into thin/thick chapathi
Cut into circles
Remove extra pieces
Take 3 circles
Press in the middle / stick 3 circles
Take half circle
Fold like flower bud
Shape flower bud
Stick in the middle
Cut itno 3
Stick one by one
Stick one by one
Stick final petal

Heat oil, drop it in hot oil
Deep fry on medium to low flame
Flip over fry both sides till light brown
Now its ready, remove it from oil
For sugar syrup:- Add 1 cup sugar
Add 1/2 cup water
Add cardamom powder, let it boil for 5 to 7 min
Sugar syrup ready, cut off heat
Add fried rose pitha, soak it for 5 min
Juicy & delicious rose pitha ready to serve
