Ingredients

  • Tur dal-1 cup
  • Bengal gram-1 tbs
  • Jeera-1 tbs
  • Red chillies-6
  • Mustard Seed-1 tsp
  • Urad dal-1 tsp
  • Curry leaves-1 spring
  • Coriander leaves-1 spring
  • Salt as needed
  • Tamarind water (very diluted)

Preparation

  • Dry roast Tur dal, Bengal gram, Red chili, Cumin seed and soak them in water for 1 hour.
  • Grind them to fine paste.
  • In pan heat oil then pour the ground paste after seasoning with mustard seed, urad and curry leaves.
  • Add tamarind water and stir well.
  • Remove from flame after 5 minutes.
  • Put coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rice or chapatti.

Note

  • Don’t grind without roasting the ingredients.

Tip

  • Try this recipe by adding 1 tbs coriander seed.
