Wheat Kanji

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour - 5 tbsp
  • Water - ½ ltr
  • Salt to taste
  • Curd – 2 tbsp [fresh]

Preparation

  • Mix wheat flour with half a glass water.
  • Heat pan with water. Once water comes to boil wheat flour mixer stir well continuously.
  • Add salt and stir well.
  • After 5 to 6 min cut off heat then serve hot or cold with curd or milk.
  • If curd garnish with sliced small onion.
  • If milk / coconut milk serve with ghee fried nuts and jaggery and cardamom powder.

Note

  • Don’t overcook as it loses its flavor.
  • Sweet wheat kanji can also be prepared by adding sugar & milk instead of curd & salt.

  • If you use add milk or coconut milk.
