Simple Beetroot Burger


Farfalle Black Olive Pasta

Ingredients

  • Salt bun - 1
  • Cabbage - 2 lettuce
  • Tomato - 1 sliced
  • Cheese slice - 1
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Tomato sauce - 3 tbsp
  • Butter - 1 tbsp
  • * Beetroot tikki - 1

* For Beetroot tikki

  • Beetroot [finely Gratted] - 1 cup
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Garam masala - ½  tbsp
  • Onion - ½ chopped
  • Curry leaves - 1 spring chopped
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Maida - 1 tbsp
  • Breadcrumbs - 3 tbsp
  • Corn flour - 2 tbsp
  • Ginger and green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice - ½ tbsp
  • Tomato sauce - 1 tbsp
  • Oil for shallow frying

For sauce-1 Method

  • Mayonnaise - 5 tbsp
  • Mustard powder or mustard paste – ¼ tbsp
  • Crushed peppercorns – ½ tsp
  • chilli flakes - ½ tbsp
  • Lemon juice – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • In a bowl add all ingredients & mix well make smooth paste & keep it aside

For simple mint yogurt sauce-2 Method

  • Yogurt / thick curd - 6 tbsp
  • mint coriander chutney– 3 tbsp
  • chilli flakes - ½ tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • In a bowl add all ingredients & mix well.
  • Put this in cotton cloth then squeeze in a bowl you will get smooth sauce.

Preparation

  • Heat pan add oil, cumin seeds, finely chopped onion. Once onion turns golden brown add gingr and green chilli sauté gently then add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Add turmeric powder red, chilli powder, grated beetroot and sprinkle 2 tbsp water & sauté for 3 min.
  • Add salt, sugar, bread crumbs, corn flour, maida and garam masala then sauté well.
  • Cut off heat then add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves & mix well.
  • Transfer this to a bowl and cover it and refrigerate for 25 min.
  • Make equal size ball & flatten the top, dip both the sides with corn flour and shallow fry the cutlet.
  • Cut the bun into two halves, grease with butter, and toast lightly.
  • Take first half and stack cabbage, tomato slice, cheese and beetroot cutlet, Mayonnaise sauce / mint yogurt sauce one by one.
  • Then Repeat the process and finally the other half of the bun goes at the top.

Tips

  • For another variation:- We can add sauted onion, finger chips, or paneer/potato crispy cutlet/tikkis
  • We can add iceberg lettuce instead of cabbage
  • We can add cucumber slices
