Ingredients

  • Gram flour [Besan, kadalai maavu] – 1 cup
  • Jaggery – 1 & ¾ cups
  • Water – ¾ cup
  • Ghee – 1 ¼ cup [melted]
  • Coconut oil - ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp

Preparation Method

  • Heat pan add gram flour roast till you get nice aroma.
  • Then sieve it to avoid lumps.
  • Add ghee and coconut oil mix well without lumps
  • Grease tray with ghee, keep it aside
  • Heat pan add jaggery and water mix well & let it boil for 5 min
  • Then strain without impurities .
  • Heat jaggery syrup again and boil till one string consistency on medium flame.
  • Then pour gram flour stir well without lumps.
  • Then stir continuously on low flame till the mixture doesn’t stick, bubbles forming & slippery on the pan.
  • Then cut off heat & immediately transfer to the ghee greased tray.
  • Leave it for 5 min then cut into desired shapes when its is warm & store in an airtight container.
