Ingredients
- Gram flour [Besan, kadalai maavu] – 1 cup
- Jaggery – 1 & ¾ cups
- Water – ¾ cup
- Ghee – 1 ¼ cup [melted]
- Coconut oil - ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Preparation Method
- Heat pan add gram flour roast till you get nice aroma.
- Then sieve it to avoid lumps.
- Add ghee and coconut oil mix well without lumps
- Grease tray with ghee, keep it aside
- Heat pan add jaggery and water mix well & let it boil for 5 min
- Then strain without impurities .
- Heat jaggery syrup again and boil till one string consistency on medium flame.
- Then pour gram flour stir well without lumps.
- Then stir continuously on low flame till the mixture doesn’t stick, bubbles forming & slippery on the pan.
- Then cut off heat & immediately transfer to the ghee greased tray.
- Leave it for 5 min then cut into desired shapes when its is warm & store in an airtight container.

Heat pan add jaggery & water
Mix well
Let it boil for 3 to 5 min
Heat broad pan, strain jaggery syrup without impurities
Let ti boil for 1 or half string consistency
Pour gram flour batter
Mix well
Boil for 5 min
Stir continuously till it thickens
Add cardamom powder
Now its ready, cut off heat
Pour into ghee greased tray
Evenly spread
Sprinkle chocolate chips, let it sit till set
Cut into cubes and serve
