Banana halwa with jaggery | Vazhai pazham halwa-How to make-Step by step photos & Video

Ingredients
- Banana or Nenthra pazham] – 7 [Fully ripped]
- Ghee [melted butter] – 4 tbsp
- Jaggery [Vellam]– ¼ cup to ½ cup
- Almond-5
- Cashew Nut-4
- Rice flour or corn flour – 1 to 2 tbsp [optional]
Preparation Method
- Heat pan add water & jaggery melt it then drain/filter[to remove impurities] & again cook till light thick syrup consistency
- Peel off the banana skin mash well
- In a wide pan take 1 tbsp of ghee and roast (light brown) almonds, cashew nuts & chop, keep it aside.
- In the same pan add ghee & mashed banana sauté for 3 minutes and this make the banana tender.
- Pour the jaggery syrup to the pan stir well on medium flame for 10 min.
- Add ghee & stir continuously till the mixture becomes thick / start leaving the pan.
- Then cut off heat & Garnish with dry fruits serve cold / warm / hot.

Then drain & pour in the same pan Cook till light thick syrup consistency

Mash banana
Mashed banana is ready
Ghee roast almonds & cashewnuts
Heat ghee in a pan add mashed banana
Add jaggery syrup
Stir well on medium flame
Stir banana halwa mixture
Stir continuously till thickenes
Add ghee
Add rice flour
Stir well till the mixture start leaving the pan
Banana halwa is still sticky consistency stir well
Banana halwa is almost done
Banana halwa is ready cut off heat
Pour banana halwa mixture to the ghee greased tray & let it cool
Then cut the mixture into desired shapes, serve hot or chilled
