Potato gulab jamun | Instant aloo khoya jamun-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Potato[Aloo, Urulaikizhangu]– 1 [boiled, peeled,mashed]
- Khoya [Kova] – 2 tbsp [grated]
- Milk powder – 1 tbsp
- Pistachios – 5 [for garnishing]
- Oil for deep frying
For sugar syrup
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 1 cup
- Green cardamom – 3
Preparation
- Wash & boil potato then peel off the skin & Mash well without lumps or finely grate.
- In a bowl add potato, milk powder, & grated khoya mix well then knead it & make soft dough. Then divide the dough into equal size balls & leave it for 5 min.
- For sugar syrup: - Heat water & sugar in a pan stir well. Once sugar dissolved then let it boil.
- Then add green cardamom leave it for 6 min in medium flame. Then cut off heat.
- Heat oil in a pan then deep fry till golden brown on medium hot oil.
- Add fried potato gulab jamun to the sugar syrup & leave it for 1 hour.
- Garnish with pistachios slices & serve.
Tip & Note
- Gently make the balls. Don’t pressure it as it becomes hard.
- Don’t use mixture jar for making dough as it may be sticky.
- If the mixture is too sticky add milk powder or maida.
- While making sugar syrup you can add saffron or rose essence.
- You can use sweet potato also.
How to make Potato gulab jamun-Step by step photos
Pressure cook potato for 3 whistles
Boiled potato [After 3 whistles], peel off the skin
Mash well or grate finely
Mash well without lumps
Add milk powder mix well
Add grated khoya mix well
Knead it make soft dough
Divide the into equal size balls
Heat oil in a pan, put prepared balls one by one & deep fry
Deep fry on medium hot oil till golden brown
For sugar syrup:- add sugar and water let it boil for 6 to 7 min
Sugar syrup is ready, add cardamom powder & cut off heat
Potato balls turned golden color let it fry for a min
Perfectly fried now take it out
Add fried gulab jamuns to the warm sugar syrup & leave it for 1 hour
Potato gulab jamun is ready. Garnish with pistachios and serve
