Ingredients
- Ragi idli batter-2 cups
- Carrot - 2 tbsp
- Onion - 3 tbsp
- Ginger- 1 tbsp
- Green chilli - 1 tbsp
- Coconut - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
- chana dal - 1 tbsp
- Urad dal - 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves - 2 springs
- Coriander leaves - 2 springs
- Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
Preparation
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, addd mustard seeds, let it splutter then add chana dal, urad dal fry till light brown.
- Add asafoetida, onion, gigner, green chilli, curry leaves, carrot & coconut saute
- Add coriander leaves, cut off heat
- In a bowl add ragi idli batter, seasoned ingredients mix well.
- Heat iron paniyaram tawa, pour 1 tbsp of oil around the paniyaram cavities.
- Pour batter, cover lid cook both sides till crisp & Golden brown.
- Then serve hot with chutney or sambar.

In a boel take 2 cups of ragi idli batter
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan
Add mustard seeds, let it splutter
Add chana dal, urad dal
Add asafoetida
Add onion saute till soft
Add ginger & green chilli
Add carrot
Add coconut
Add curry leaves
Saute for a min
Add seasoned ingredients
Paniyaram Pan [Cast Iron Paniyaram Pan]
Pour 1 tbsp oil over the pan
Pour batter, cover lid, cook till crisp & golden brown
Flip over cook both sides
Now its ready, cut off heat
Take it out
