Spinach roasted gram chakli | Palak pottukadalai murukku-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Rice flour [Finger millet flour, kezhvaragu maavu] – 1/2 cup
- Roasted Gram flour [Pottukadalai maavu]– 1 cup
- Spinach[Palak] – 1 handful
- Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Omam[Ajwain, carom seeds] - 1 tbsp
- Asafetida – ¼ tsp
- Butter – 1 cube
- Oil for deep frying
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
Preparation Method
- Add spinach in a mixie jar, grind to smooth paste or puree with 1/2 cup of water
- In a bowl add rice flour,chutney gram flour, red chilli powder,turmeric powder, ajwain, salt, asafetida, & butter mix well
- Add spinach paste, water mix well, knead it & make soft dough [It should be soft & non sticky].
- Pour ¼ tsp of oil cover it & keep it aside.
- Heat enough oil in a pan, take star murukku mould plate then place it in a muruku kuzhal.
- Fill the prepared dough in a muruku kuzhal [one handful] & just press out or squeeze over the medium hot oil deep fry till crisp.
Flip over & fry another side. - Once it ready or the oil sound disappears then take it out & drain on absorbent paper.
- Let it cool in room temperature [Apr. 2 min]
- Then store it in an airtight container use within 5 days.

Add all ingredients
Mix well with butter & salt
Add spinach & water grind to fine paste or make smooth puree
Add spinach paste mix well, knead it , make soft dough
Soft dough is ready
Place 1 handful dough into the murukku kuzhal
Squeeze over the ladle
Final round
Raw spinach roasted gram chakli is ready
Drop it in hot oil
Deep fry till crisp
Flip over fry both sides
Now its ready, remove from oil
