Vegetable bansi rava upma-How to make-Step by step photos

Ingredients
- Bansi sooji rava[Yellow Bangalore rava] – 1 cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Carrot – 1 [finely chopped]
- Capsicum – 2 tbsp [chopped]
- Coconut – 3 tbsp [grated]
- Onion – 1 [sliced]
- Green chilli – 2
- Ginger – 1 tbsp [finely chopped]
- Curry leaves – 1 spring
- Coriander leaves – 1 spring
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
- Bengal gram – 1 tbsp
- Urad dal – 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 2 tbsp
Preparation Method
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds & let it splutter.
- Then add Bengal gram and urad dal.
- Add onion sauté till soft then add ginger, green chilli & carrot sauté.
- Then add capsicum, curry leaves, turmeric & red chilli powder sauté till soft.
- Add coconut mix well.
- Add water and salt mix well & let it boil.
- Then add bansi rava mix well & let it cook on medium flame.
- Once moisture out sprinkle coriander leaves mix well & cut off heat.
- Cover lid & leave it for 2 min. Then serve hot with chutney or pickle.
How to make Vegetable bansi rava upma-Step by step photos
heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, chana dal & urad dal fry till light brown
Add onion, curry leaves saute
Add chopped ginger saute
Add carrot, green capsicum saute for a min
Add grated coconut saute
Add water and salt let it boil
Now water is boiling
Bansi rava
Add bansi rava slowly
Mix well, let it cook for 2 min.
Once its ready sprinkle chopped coriander leaves, mix well
Cover lid, cut off heat & leave it for 2 min
Veg bansi semolina upma is ready, serve hot with chutney
