Ingredients
- Pori [Puffed rice] – 2 cups
- Roasted gram[chutney gram, pottukadalai]- 2 tbsp [optional]
- Jaggery [Vellam]-1 cup [grated]
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Water- 1/4 cup
Preparation
- Heat pan add jaggery & water[Apr 1/4 cup] let it melt then boil till soft ball forming consistency.
- In a bowl add puffed rice/ pori, roasted gram, add jaggery & ghee mix well
- Grease your palm with rice flour or ghee then make balls in warm stage.
- Then let it cool & keep in an airtight container & use within 7 days

Add 2 cups puffed rice/ pori in a bowl
Add roasted gram
Heat jaggery and water melt it
Cook jaggery syrup till soft balls forming consistency
Perfect jaggery syrup consistency, check jaggery syrup in water
Add pori into jaggery syrup mix well
Add ghee
Mix well
Grease hands with ghee or rice flour make balls in warm stage of pori mixture
Pori urundai is ready, keep it in an airtight container
